When Denver-based Wag N’ Wash, an all-natural dog food retailer and groomer, wanted to open a location in Eagan, we jumped at the opportunity to serve as their general contractor. From a self-service dog wash area to a treat bakery, the new facility—which opened in 2015—is the stuff of every dog’s dream.
Our Approach
After wrapping construction on the approximately 3,500-square-foot Eagan facility, we were hired by Wag N’ Wash to serve as their construction manager for franchises nationwide.
Our role on each project essentially involves serving as Wag N’ Wash’s owners representative—we manage local contractors to complete construction. The nature of their business presents a fairly unique challenge. Because Wag N’ Wash is both a food service and grooming facility for the four-legged set, it doesn’t really fit into any existing health department rules.
In each location, we’ve coordinated extensively with our contractors and the local inspection personnel to make sure every aspect of the facility is built to code. We know the ins and outs of the equipment, finishes and products required for every aspect of a Wag N’ Wash build-out, so we’re able to quickly navigate any issues that arise.
The Results
Since 2016, we’ve managed the construction of franchises in Las Vegas and Cherry Hill, N.J., with Redmond and Seattle, WA; Aurora, Boulder, and Denver, CO; Fort Worth, TX; and Louisville, KY on the horizion 2017. The impressive growth of Wag N’ Wash is great news for our team, and a reason for tails everywhere to wag.
